Portia In The Mix

Portia Tsotesi was born in South Africa, grew up in Los Angeles, and now resides in Miami. She fell in love with house music during a trip to the motherland as a young adult and started attending festivals like WMC where she connected with a lot of house heads from around the globe.

Being surrounded by so many DJs and events, it was only a matter of time before she grew curious about what it would be like to be behind the decks. She took to DJing during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and has fallen in love with music from a different perspective. She loves mixing different styles of house music ranging from soulful to Afro, dance, deep, and some disco. “I love so many genres of music. I am a child of the world and music touches everyone across the globe…no matter what age, gender, or ethnicity.”
