DJ Feinberg’s versatility and style reflect more than two decades spent researching and performing music around the world.

Beginning in Dallas, Texas with a high school radio show, his love of DJing has led to countless performances and to destinations around the globe. Such destinations including London, Ibiza, Playa Del Carmen, Miami, and New Orleans. He has shared the booth with a number of renowned musicians, producers, and DJs. Such world-renown artists including Kenny Dope, Kevin Saunderson, DJ Colette, Mark Farina, Julie McKnight, Terry Hunter, 9TH Wonder, Roy Davis Jr., Julius The Mad Thinker and many more.

A classically-trained musician, Steven began his musical career as a vocalist in grade school with the Texas State Choir and St. Mark’s of Texas Choir. He performed around the Midwest and across Europe at locations including Notre Dame Cathedral, Mont Saint-Michael Cathedral and many more. While in college, he sang with the Wake Forest University Chorus alongside poet Maya Angelou during the live musical premiere of her presidential inaugural poem, “On The Pulse of Morning.” His graduate studies led to in-depth research in ethnomusicology and music history at Duke and Oxford Universities. He spent extended amounts of time traveling and studying around the globe. Such cities in Spain, including Barcelona, Ibiza, and Salamanca. Steven’s exposure to so many diverse music genres contributes to his unique DJ style, which can include funk, latin, jazz, hip hop, reggae/dancehall, downtempo, Arabic, House and other electronic genres.

In addition to acting as the former Owner/Head DJ of the award-winning Mosaic Lounge up until his move to San Diego, Steven has hosted a variety of nights over the years. Such events entitled “We All Love House”, “Descanso”, “Discoteque”, “Variations In House” and many others. He also has acted as Co-Planner and Resident DJ at several annual festivals and conferences, including Duke University’s “Across The Threshold” conference series, the Mosaic Spring and Fall Music Festivals, the “Mosaic in Miami” Events at WMC, and as a DJ for five years at the Mi Casa Music Holiday.

Currently, he performs at over 100 events a year around his home in the San Diego area and is the Owner/Head DJ of the Southern California branch of the Bunn DJ Company. You can find him on Dancegruv.net every 3rd Monday of the month at 5pm PST for his house music-based radio show, Gran Reserva.
