Charles Gatling born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, now residing in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Charles Gatling love for music started at the early age of 9 with his father. His father always played various genres of music on his record player while Charles listened and observed. While listening to New York radio stations and countless mix shows, Charles became interested in mixing music. At the age of 16, he purchased his first set of Technic 1200 turntables and a mixer. This was the beginning of his 25 years plus as a DJ. Spinning records at block parties, school functions, and private parties during his teenage years, Charles developed his mixing skills.
While enlisted in the U.S. Navy, Charles had the opportunity to DJ at venues in San Diego, Seattle, Subic Bay, Philippines, Seoul, Korea, and Perth. After seven years residing in San Diego, Charles returned to New Jersey and started djing for entertainment companies and clubs in the Tri-State area. From 2010 through 2016, Charles had a residency at a lounge in the Newark Ironbound Section and he was invited to perform as a guest DJ at multiple venues.
With over 25 years of DJing, Charles is known for his Deep, Soulful and banging vibes.
